SHENZHEN-BASED real estate developer Shenzhen L.gem Group has announced that the LVGEM Hotel, which has been in business for nine years, was officially renamed to L.gem Hotel. The move complies with an agreement signed in 2011 which stipulates that the L.gem Hotel Management Group will take over the former LVGEM Hotel starting Wednesday.
Having built its fortune in real estate, the L.gem group has always kept a low profile. After going public in Hong Kong in 2015, the group never ceased taking steps toward a diversified development. In addition to real estate, the group is also expanding its presence in the financial and technological sectors.
The majority of real estate companies follow a development pattern that combines real estate and the hotel business, and Shenzhen L.gem Group is no exception. The establishment of the L.gem Hotel Management Group in April 2018 demonstrates the L.gem group’s ambitious plan to achieve more in the hotel industry.
At present, L.gem Hotel Management Group runs three hotels, including the former LVGEM Hotel in Shenzhen’s Futian District. The other two projects are located in Los Angeles, the United States and Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
After nine years of business, the L.gem group will now invest in L.gem Hotel’s renovation and face-lifting in order to meet the needs of the market.
Zhao Jun, executive deputy general manager of L.gem Hotel Management Group, said L.gem Group is benefiting from the opportunities presented by the Greater Bay Area, and in the near future, a number of other hotel projects will be launched, which demonstrates the group’s confidence in the hotel business.
After commencing independent management, L.gem Hotel may offer hotel personnels to other hotel projects, thus exploring operational models and management systems that best suit its development.
Zhao believes that after nine years of success, the hotel has gained a number of loyal clients, and the group has made sophisticated plans. Zhao added that the hotel will also draw on the advanced experience of other international hotel brands with the aim of building L.gem Hotel into a national brand with global vision. (Yang Mei)
